The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Fayetteville, AR from November 4th to 7th to compete in the National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest hosted by the University of Arkansas. Ten teams from across the nation competed in the two day competition. The contest concluded with Texas A&M winning its thirteenth national championship in the last fourteen competitions dating back to April 2006. The team placed second in the Egg Production and Quality division while winning the Breed Selection and Carcass Quality division. The team consisted of Brian Clay (High Individual Overall, 1st Place – Breed Selection and Carcass Quality and 5thPlace Egg Production and Quality), Timothy Broderick (3rd Place Overall, 4th Place Egg Production and Quality), Katie Burchfield, and Matthew March. Joshua Woelfel was the alternate on the team. The team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee.
