Katherine McElhany wins 2008 Student Research Week Awards

Katherine McElhany who is an undergraduate student in Dr. Suresh Pillai's lab won 1st place in her Microbiology session and 2nd place overall in the entire Microbiology section during the Student Research Week. She is a TAMU Undergraduate Research Scholar. The title of her oral presentation was “Food-borne Sources of Bacteria Associated with Human Obesity”. Katherine will be starting on her Masters research in FSTC in Dr. Pillai's lab.
