Dharani Ajithdoss & Vinayak Brahmakshatriya win 2008 Student Research Week Awards

Dharani Ajithdoss, Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Lupiani's laboratory, received a First Place Poster Award and was Section Winner in Microbiology during the 2008 Student Research Week.  The title of his poster was  "In vitro transformation properties of the Meq protein of Marek's disease virus"

Vinayak Brahmakshatriya, Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Reddy's laboratory, received a Third Place Poster Award in the Active Living/Public Health section during the 2008 Student Research Week.  The title of his poster was "Inactivation of Avian Influenza Virus in Poultry Meat and Egg Products Using E-beam Pasteurization". He also received a Third Place Oral Presentation Prize and was Section Winner  in Microbiology for his presentation entitled  "Exploring the Role of Avian Influenza Viral NS1 Protein as Interferon Antagonist ".
