Meat and Poultry magazine has ranked the nation's universities on the quality of their industry educational seminars and workshops. Previous rankings have been on the teaching, research and faculty expertise and Texas A&M was #1 in these areas. We are pleased to now have been rated #2 in our industry educational programs as well. This shows the well-rounded strength and the balance in all aspects of the meat and poultry programs at Texas A&M. Reviewers felt that the breadth of the programs at Texas A&M demonstrated "the diversity of the university's programs designed to educate all segments of the food processing chain." They continued that "program officials obviously have their ears to the ground in terms of what products many processors are currently focusing their attention on and offer courses to keep managers and operators on top of processing trends." We are proud of this ranking and feel it compliments the earlier high ranking in academics and research to show the strength of our entire program.
