Dr. Robert Reimers Visiting Scientist in 2005
The
Department is pleased to have Dr. Robert Reimers join us from January through
August of 2005 as a visiting scientist. He is on sabbatical from Tulane
University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. His specific are
of expertise is in the utilization of animal and municipal wastes for the
production
of
value added products such as activated carbon and other industrial materials.
He also has an interest in the microbial safety of these wastes. Although his
activities will be initially associated with Dr. Pillai and Dr. Carey, we foresee
many broad areas of interaction during his time with us and beyond.
