Poultry Judging Team Wins National Title

The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Baton Rouge, LA to compete in the US Poultry and Egg National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest held April 11-13, 2007. The team placed 1st in the Breeder Division and Products Division in route to winning the overall championship. Team members included Jonathan Preiss (So), Jacob Coppedge (Jr), Lesley Vaculin (Jr), John Wood (Sr), and Tim Kuba (Jr) (alternate) with individual honors listed below. The Texas A&M University Poultry judging team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee and has won the last three national competitions. Congratulations to the team!

Jonathan Preiss – High Individual – Overall, High Individual - Products Division, High Individual – Breeder Division

Jacob Coppedge – 4 th High Individual – Overall, 6th High Individual – Breeder Division, 8th High Individual – Products Division

Lesley Vaculin – 20th High Individual – Overall, 3rd High Individual – Products Division,
