Graduate Students Receive Travel Grants

Ken Widmer and Everado Vega in Dr. Suresh Pillai's lab have received travel grants of $722.00 from the Texas A&M Food Science Faculty for travel to New Orleans where they presented their work to the American Society for Microbiology meeting. Mr. Widmer's presentation was titled "Detection of Cryptosporidium Oocysts and Giardia Cysts by Artificial Neural Networks" and Mr. Vega's presentation was entitled "Influence of Lettuce Variety, pH, and Microbial Flora on Calicivirus Attactment on Lettuce." Congratulations on this recognition.
