Poultry Judging Team Wins 2012 US Poultry and Egg Association National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest

The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Baton Rouge, LA from April 1st to 4th to compete in the US Poultry and Egg Association National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest hosted by Louisiana State University. Ten teams from across the nation competed in the two day competition. The contest concluded with Texas A&M winning its twelfth national championship in the last thirteen competitions dating back to April 2006. The team placed first in the Egg Production and Market Products Divisions and tied for first in the Breeder Selection Division. The team consisted of Jacob Price (High Point Individual Overall, 3rd Place – Breeder Selection, and 2nd Place Market Products), Matthew March (3rd Place Overall, 1st Place Breeder Selection), Brian Clay (5th Place Overall, 1st Place Egg Production, and 1st Place Market Products), and Michael Clay (7th  Place Overall, 2nd Place Egg Production). Ashley Clay was the alternate on the team. The team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee.
