The 2014 Market Poultry Production and Selection Workshop was a huge success this year. This year’s event was by the far biggest to date and offered information to first timers as well as the experienced participants. It was held on May 31st at the Louis Pierce Pavilion on the campus of Texas A&M in College Station from 9am-3pm. Two hundred and seventy nine individuals attended the event where they heard presentations from Texas A&M Poultry Science faculty and Major Show poultry judges. This event allowed participants to interact with the faculty and judges and ask them question directly about showing and raising poultry. Topics included housing, management, feeding programs, cull and selection, and biosecurity. This is an annual event held in the late spring.
