Poultry Judging Team Wins 2014 National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest

The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Fayetteville, AR to compete in the 2014 National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest on November 3th and 4thth. Seven teams from across the nation competed in the two day competition which was hosted by the University of Arkansas. The contest concluded with Texas A&M winning its ninth National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest in a row dating back to November 2006. The team placed first in the Breeder and Carcass Quality Division and placed third in the Egg Production and Quality Division. The team consisted of Kolton Page (3rd Place – Breeder and Carcass Quality Division, 3rd Overall Individual), Jill Wright (2nd Place – Breeder and Carcass Quality Division, 4th Overall Individual), Katie Bennett (5th Overall Individual), and Brooke Bodle (8th Overall Individual). The team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee and assistant coaches Jake Pieniazek and Jacob Price.
