Poultry Judging Team Wins 2015 US Poultry and Egg Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest

The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Baton Rouge, LA to compete in the 2015 US Poultry and Egg National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest on April 16th and 17th. Nine teams from across the nation competed in the two day competition which was hosted by the Louisiana State University. The contest concluded with Texas A&M winning the overall team competition. This marks Texas A&M University’s seventeenth win in the last nineteen competitions dating back to 2006. The team placed second in the Breed Selection, 2nd in Market Products, and 4th Production. The team consisted of Eryn Crow (2nd Place – Breed Selection, 4th Place – Production, and 2nd – Overall Individual), Jill Wright (2nd Place – Market Products, 3rd Place – Breed Selection, and 3rd Overall Individual), Katie Bennett (3rd Place – Market Products, 4th Place – Breed Selection, and 4th Overall Individual), Brooke Bodle, and Alyssa Nakamura (alternate). The team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee and assistant coach Jacob Price.
