Poultry Judging Team Wins 2016 US Poultry and Egg Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest

The Texas A&M University Poultry Judging Team traveled to Baton Rouge, LA to compete in the 2016 US Poultry and Egg National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest on April 7th and 8th. Eleven teams from across the nation competed in the two day competition which was hosted by the Louisiana State University. The contest concluded with Texas A&M winning the overall team competition. This marks Texas A&M University’s eighteenth win in the last twenty one competitions dating back to 2006. The team placed third in the Breed Selection, 1st in Market Products, and 1st Production. The team consisted of Bailey Miller (1st Place – Breed Selection, 9th Place – Market, and 2nd – Overall Individual), Daniel DeLeon (1st Place – Market Products, 2nd Place – Production, and 3rd Overall Individual), Taylor Olsovsky (9th Place – Production, and 7th Overall Individual), Jacob Leopold (9th Overall Individual), and Sarah Kruse (alternate). The team is coached by Dr. Jason Lee and assistant coach Kyle Brown.
