On May 8, 2017, Pilgrim’s donated $1 Million to the Department of Poultry Science to establish the Department of Poultry Science Feed Mill, Industry Education, and Outreach Support fund. This timely gift from Pilgrim’s will allow the Department to modernize its feed mill with commercial industry-relevant equipment, boosting the feed manufacturing capacity by nearly tenfold.  This gift is the most significant in size and scope in the Department’s nearly 100-year history.  The much-needed resources will allow us to improve faculty-led research programs, educational opportunities for students, and outreach programs with the commercial poultry industry.
